Overview

The Master of Education (Early Childhood Education) program at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) is designed to produce knowledgeable and skilled professionals capable of advancing the quality of early childhood care and education. The program welcomes applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields (CGPA 2.75 and above), as well as those with relevant minors, diplomas, or significant teaching experience in the field. International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through TOEFL (550), IELTS (6.0), or an equivalent qualification.

This program integrates theoretical foundations with practical approaches, enabling students to explore key aspects of child development, curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and policy. Through research, critical analysis, and innovative practices, students will gain expertise to address diverse educational needs and challenges. The curriculum also incorporates current issues, emerging trends, and global perspectives, preparing graduates to be adaptive and forward-thinking in their professional roles.

Graduates of this program will be equipped for leadership and specialist positions in early childhood education, including roles in teaching, curriculum development, administration, research, and policy-making. The program also provides a strong foundation for those wishing to pursue doctoral studies. By combining academic rigor with practical experience, UPSI’s Master of Early Childhood Education ensures graduates are well-prepared to make meaningful contributions to the development and education of young children.
