We are authorised training provider for “Kursus Asuhan PERMATA” (KAP).
This course was a requirement as outlined in the Childcare Act 1984 (Act 308) and the Childcare Park Regulations 2012 (TASKA Regulations) to all prospective entrepreneurs, managers, supervisors and nursery caregivers.
Kursus Asuhan dan Didikan Awal Kanak-Kanak (KAP) is a mandatory certification programme developed by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia (JKM) for all childcare providers working with children aged 0–4 years in registered TASKA.
This comprehensive course is recognised nationwide and is designed to ensure caregivers meet the minimum professional standards required to provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for young children.
To equip childcare providers with knowledge, skills and values essential for the holistic development of children.
To promote best practices in early childhood care aligned with Curriculum PERMATA.
To ensure compliance with JKM regulations for registered TASKA operators and staff.
To enhance the professionalism and credibility of the ECCE workforce.
The KAP course is modular and covers 9 key modules, including:
1. Child Growth and Development
Understand the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children aged 0–4 years.
2. Health, Safety, and Nutrition
Learn to create a healthy, hygienic, and safe environment, including proper feeding, rest, and emergency care.
3. Learning Through Play
Explore the value of play and how to structure activities that support children’s development.
4. Child Guidance and Positive Discipline
Discover effective strategies for guiding behaviour in respectful and age-appropriate ways.
5. Curriculum Implementation (PERMATA)
Gain skills in planning and carrying out meaningful daily routines based on the national early childhood curriculum.
6. Building Relationships with Families
Learn the importance of involving families in the child’s development and how to engage them positively.
7. Programme Planning and Record Keeping
Understand documentation, child portfolios, and basic centre management.
8. Ethics and Professionalism
Instill values of integrity, respect, confidentiality, and responsibility in childcare work.
9. Practicum (Field Experience)
Hands-on experience in a TASKA setting under supervision.
Duration: Approximately 200 hours
Delivery Mode: Combination of online theory, face-to-face training, and on-site practicum
Language: Malay (with support materials in English, if needed)
Participants will receive the JKM-endorsed certificate, which is a requirement for employment in any registered TASKA in Malaysia.
