The National Child Data Centre (NCDC) Feasibility Study was commissioned in February until December 2013 by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU),Prime Minister Department to inquire into the feasibility of setting up an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) national child database on Malaysian children to inform policy, research ,planning and decision making processes. The study was led by the National Children Research Centre (NCDRC),Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) ,in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM ),Taylor’s University ,HELP University and Beribu Matrik Sdn Bhd (BMSB). This report outlines the approach undertaken and the results obtained to address the objectives of the study and assess the feasibility of establishing NCDC.
