At the National Child Development Research Centre (NCDRC), we provide high-quality early childhood education through our on-site TASKA (Child Care Centre) and TADIKA (Preschool). These facilities serve as living labs for best practices in early childhood care and education, grounded in research and child development principles.
TASKA PERMATA UPSI caters to children aged 0–5 years, offering a safe, nurturing environment where young children are cared for and guided through age-appropriate developmental activities. The focus is on holistic growth—supporting physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
TADIKA BITARA NCDRC supports children aged 5–6 years, preparing them for formal schooling through engaging, play-based learning experiences. The curriculum is enriched with creative exploration, early literacy and numeracy, and social-emotional learning, all aligned with national early childhood standards.
Staffed by trained educators and supported by continuous research, both TASKA and TADIKA at NCDRC offer a model of excellence in early childhood education—where every child is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
To further enhance learning, TADIKA children also have access to STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) programs after school hours. These enrichment activities are designed to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and build foundational thinking and problem-solving skills.
STREAM sessions are hands-on, age-appropriate, and integrate moral values—encouraging children to explore the world around them through both scientific inquiry and spiritual understanding.
At NCDRC, our early childhood curriculum is grounded in national standards and enriched with innovative, research-based practices to support the holistic development of every child.
🧸 TASKA (0–4 years): Curriculum PERMATA
We implement the Curriculum PERMATA, which focuses on six key domains of child development—physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, language, and social. The curriculum emphasizes learning through play, exploration, and responsive care to support optimal development in the early years.
🏫 TADIKA (4–6 years): Kurikulum Standard Prasekolah Kebangsaan (KSPK)
For our preschoolers, we follow the KSPK, Malaysia’s national preschool curriculum, designed to prepare children for formal schooling. It covers essential learning standards across subjects such as language, mathematics, science, creativity, and character education.
In addition to the core curriculum, our educational philosophy is guided by the core pillars of Engage, Empower, Enhance, ensuring that every child is actively involved, confidently supported, and continuously growing in their early learning journey.
We achieve this through a comprehensive, research-based framework that includes:
🌱 Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL): Children learn content and language simultaneously, developing communication skills while exploring key knowledge areas.
🧠 Ethics, Moral & Values: We instill strong moral grounding and ethical understanding to nurture respectful, responsible individuals from a young age.
💡 Innovative Teaching & Learning: Our learning environment embraces creativity, critical thinking, and new methodologies that keep children curious and motivated.
🌍 Global Awareness Programme: Children are introduced to global cultures, diversity, and current issues, helping them become empathetic, informed citizens.
🔍 Project Approach: Hands-on, inquiry-based learning that encourages exploration, collaboration, and real-world problem solving.
Together, these components form a dynamic, child-centered approach designed to prepare children for a meaningful future—academically, socially, and ethically.
