Our main roles are to intensify and diversify research related to the development, education and child care in Malaysia.
Research at the National Child Development Research Centre is dedicated to advancing a comprehensive understanding of child development, encompassing a wide range of studies that explore children’s growth, learning, development and well-being. The multidisciplinary approach fosters innovative research initiatives aimed at shaping evidence-based policies and programmes to support the quality care and education for children aged 0 -18 years old

Managing the national level children profiling database and childcare centre management web application.​

The National Children’s Data Centre System (NCDC) is a web-based application that:

  •  Collect data and profiles of children (0 – 5 years old), childcare centres and educators/care giver.
  • Monitor children’s development based on the PERMATA development checklist.
  • Provide information related to researchers and experts in the field of early childhood and upbringing (ECCE).
  • Provide links to the websites of NGOs and associations related to early childhood.
  • Generate reports on children, childcare centres and educators/care giver for the use of agencies and stakesholders.

Jurnal Pendidikan Awal Kanak-kanak Kebangsaan (JPAKK)

JPAKK is a local voice for both research and practice concerning early childhood education. This refereed journal extends across various social/cultural contexts and contributes to the national debate on holistic development for young children. This local voice for children explores a range of topics such as multicultural issues, indigenous early education, children’s learning, sustainable development, advocacy, and other issues involving early childhood education for the world’s children

Southeast Asia Early Childhood Journal (SAECJ)

SAECJ is a global voice for both research and practice concerning early childhood. This refereed journal extends across various social or cultural contexts and contributes to the international debate on holistic development for young children. This global voice for children explores a range of topics such as education and care, multicultural issues, indigenous early education, children’s learning, sustainable development, advocacy, and other issues involving early childhood for the world’s children.
